2008 ING New York City Marathon Show

Power 105.1 is impossible to contact , maybe you can help me.

I am contacting you for a few reasons, firstbeing that Clear Channel is
one of the sponsors of the ING NYC Marathon.
The most important reason is since
this is only hip-hop and R&B show who better to be there then the home of Hip-Hop and R&B, Power 105.1.

we are asking that you, 105.1 come out and support the marathon and show by possibly hosting or appear at the only hip hop and r&b music show, make history. .

The attendance for the marathon in the final stretch is low which is Harlem area. Being that most of that stretch is urban areas in which hip-hop and R&B is urban music.

So,to bring more attendance to the home stretch would show the world, and
runners that the hip-hop and R&B communities support the marathon fully, which in turn may inspire someone to possibly do something
positive.

Possibly even encourage someone to run the marathon next year, who has wanted to , but was uncomfortable due to lack of urban
community involvement and urban music listener, Support.

To be honest, I welcome anything you can do to help make this show a success. This is excellent venue as well as good programming. This event would make excellent broadcasting.

On October 25th, one week before the marathon, artists performing and about 300 of their fan, friends, etc... Will be accompanying them as they
hand deliver invitations to the Marathon Show to every radio station, record labels, in NYC and end up at Times Square MTV Studios to personally invite MTV & NYC...

As everyone is taking this 2 hour journey, calls will be made to every television, news room, newspaper, and media in NYC by all 300 people telling them what we're doing and invite them as well. You're not walking 300 people in NYC doing this and not getting press.
This is what we're doing as promotion for the show, and support of the marathon show, get people involved and excited. We all may stop by..
