    Bobby Brown update

    Sunday, October 14, 2007, 07:45 PM [General]

So, in B. Brown fashion, the singer has denied he ever had a heart attack at all. This announcement came post his laywer confirming that he indeed did suffer a mild heart attack last week. Brown says he was "just going to the hospital for a routine check up and he has a clean bill of health." Go figure, I dunno...

    Brown Has Mild Heart Attack

    Wednesday, October 10, 2007, 03:31 PM [General]

Bobby Brown and his attorney have asked that fans keep him in their hearts and prayers, as the singer suffered a mild heart attack last night. Brown attributes the case to "stress and diet", and doctors say there is no blockage but his heart is inflamed. His attorney, Phaedra Parks, says, ""Bobby is doing good. He is in good spirits. It's a serious condition, and I'm very concerned about him. Bobby is very happy with the outpouring of calls and messages." Brown is still scheduled to perform at V100's Taste Of Soul concert this Saturday in Cali, but it's not clear if in fact he'll take the stage.

Salt-N-Pepa explain their "situation" to the press at VH1's Hip Hop Honors Awards

ABC asked me to cover the Hip Hop Honors Awards which taped tonight at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The show was hot and as always, thank you to the good people at VH1 for recognizing the life-style (hell, it's given me a JOB! God bless hip hop). In the press room, it was crazy to actually witness the tension between 2005 honorees Salt and Pepa, who were rumored to have been in a knock-down-drag out altercation on the set of their upcoming reality show. Though they both denied anything ever coming to blows, any fool could see they had some "issues" that needed to be resolved (some things you just can't hide). There were a number of tense moments on-stage during the interview, and Salt responded with sarcasm on occasion when Pep would answer questions from the press. Their new project, The Salt-N-Pepa Show, apparently deals with the duo's on again - off again relationship. So apparently the story is, Salt quit the group, found Jesus, took some time to take care of image and self esteem issues, got married and had two babies. Needless to say, she's chillin' Pepa, however, is still the same ole Pep who likes the party lifestyle and all that comes with it. She's looking to re-ignite the pair's "glory years" with a new album, and holds Salt responsible for the groups break-up. I don't know, I can see both sides; one wants to relax after a long career and the other is still trying to eat. Either way, it's nice to have peace at the end of the day. You can't call yourself a Mom and be "shoop-shoopin'" forever. They say that part of being famous is letting it go, when it's time to do that. I hope in the end they can work it out and be sisters, they've made some great contributions for the ladies.

I posed a question about religion, and you can see their response on the debut of the show (I signed a waiver and errr' thing, ya'll!!!). The Salt-N-Pepa Show debuts October 15th on VH1 as the latest installment of the network's Celebreality series.

VH1's Hip Hop Honors will air Monday, October 8th at 10pm on VH1.
