XXL Magazine reports Remy Ma's future husband, Papoose (the two will be wed in prison according to him), has made a statement that Remy would be appealing her case. He's asked that fans send letters requesting a short jail sentence to lettersforremy@gmail.com. Remy was found guilty this week of assault and related charges, and the presiding judge ordered her taken into custody until her sentencing next month. She could serve time for anywhere from 8 to 25 years.
The "shorten Remy's sentence" messages will presumably be shown to the judge prior to her April 23 sentencing. As for the couple, they had planned to wed at the end of April and have set no new date for their pending nuptuals.
NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' has replaced a flu-ridden Janet Jackson with Mariah Carey. Carey, 37, will fill in for Jackson on the March 15 'SNL' telecast, NBC announced Wednesday, March 12, 2008.
"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," she stated. "And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." Ferraro does not buy the notion of Obama as the great reconciler.

After resigning from the Clinton campaign today, Farrora said her remarks were not in any way, racist. What I want to know is, how should we interpret such comments? Why is it that Ferrora feels Obama has nothing to contribute to this campaign, is in no way qualified for being where he is and what he has accomplished? I do not understand this. Is it true that the country has placed Obama - a black man - at an advantage simply BECAUSE he’s black? When has that ever happened - in history - in politics? Or in government? Maybe, he might be at an advantage because Americans want another option. If race is not "supposed" to be an issue in this campaign - why is it being made an issue? What else can be taken from these remarks - other than what is stated?
Spitzer’s wife - if you were her, would you stand by him? Would you have stood by him as he resigned? Do you think her husband has an addiction that needs to be treated - like any addiction?
