Apparently Yung Berg's mouth has got him in some more trouble - what is it with this kid? First it was guns / weapons drama, then the comment about "no dark-skinned sisters" (yes he did), now this. Apparently Berg was "poppin' off at the lip" to the wrong one at the wrong time - Detroit's Trick Trick (the local rap star), and all hell broke out. Berg apparently got served up and his chain, gaffled. More money more problems? I guess that's one less problem for the Berg Man; easy come easy go. Let's hope his people can get it back from the culprits - and Yung'n chills out.
Hell Taekwon-Naw!
Aight, I know it's wrong but this shot is hilarious. Kids, don't try this at home!
Cuba's Angel Matos was not havin' that when he was disqualified from winning a bronze-medal. He thanked the ref who disqualified him with a kick to the dome. The World Taekwondo Federation has recommended he be banned for life. Daaaang, Cuba! I love the Olympics :) The Games conclude Sunday. Besides the obvious (above incident), these summer Olympics are being called (by many) the "best and most memorable since the Games were re-born in Athens" in 1896. Nice job, China!
T.I. to perform at this years VMAs
Yup, it's almost that time of year - the Video Music Awards will make their way to the legendary Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood. The show airs live September 9th at 8PM, and rapper T.I. - one of the hottest in the game - has been confirmed as a performer. Lil' Wayne, Rihanna, Pink, and Kid Rock are also on deck to show why they are the best music has to offer.
Who would you have picked to perform at this year's VMA's?
Our Next Vice President: Joe Bidden!
Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama introduced Sen. Joe Biden to the nation as his running mate. From the photo, he means biz, right?! I'm still learning more about Bidden, and am insterested on where he stands in regard to women (is he pro-choice?), education, the middle / lower class, health care, and a couple other concerning issues. In the meantime, here's what I do know - check the stats on Biden:
*He is Delaware's longest-serving senator
*65-years-old
*Biden is Roman Catholic
*He is married and has three children and five grandchildren
*He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and got a law degree from Syracuse.
*Biden tragically lost his first wife and infant daughter in a 1972 car wreck
*He struggled to overcome a brain aneurysm in 1988 (and did!)
*He is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee
*Biden will make his first big speech as the vice presidential candidate Wednesday, the third night of the Democratic convention
*He has a well-earned reputation for impetuous and brutally honest remarks (love that!)
*Biden voted for the Iraq war resolution in October 2002 but quickly became a critic of the Bush administration's handling of the conflict. He strongly opposed the increased deployment of troops in 2007
*Biden is a well-known political quantity that can take on John McCain on any international topic that has already come up during the campaign (Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia) or others that may still come up (China, Darfur, Simbabwe)
*He has his own memoir, "Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics"
