His musical flow comes naturally to him. He never writes his lyrics, he memorizes everything. He just flows with the beat and the music and his state of mind automatically take control.
At the young age of 16, Jugganot dropped his first album, Mixed Drinks in 1997. It took him about three months to complete. He sold more than 2,000 copies. He stated that the best part of it was the live performances. He says it's everything to him.
Jugganot says his biggest inspiration is himself. He says it took him a while to get to this level, so he feels it's definitely something to be proud of. Other influences to him on a personal level are his mother, who he states is very deep when it comes to poetry. Rappers who have influenced his are Tupac, Nas, Jay-Z, and Dr. Dre.
Maturing, he took rap more serious. In 2002, Jugganot began hitting mix tapes like Jimmy Swag, DJ Ghumba and BsR. He’s also made appearances on college radio stations like 88.1 and Long Islands 105.3.
There is no artist that he shares similarities with, although others who hear his music say he has great talent and versatility.
In October of 2005, Jugganot dropped his sophomore album, “The Jooks”. Taking everyone by surprise with his new style and fresh beats. All this while working on his music, hustling, holding down a 9 to 5 job and his first child born the following month.
Juggernaut’s third album was released in August 2007. Whether you prefer street life verses or cuts with some enlightening facts, Jugganot has versatility and is a contender in the hip-hop world. With new producers and a new team, “CASH RULES” is a well-put together album. Jugganot comes through and represents for the East Coast and especially the Bronx. Jugganot has nowhere to go but up. The hip-hop community will have no choice but to make way for him.
His ultimate goal is to be remembered as one of the great ones of this generation and the next to come.
